SOHO: EGG SHOP, CAFE INTEGRAL & AN ALL NEUTRAL LOOK

Over the President's Day long weekend, we ventured to NYC for a quick trip. I honestly have a love-hate relationship with New York. The food is amazing but after a few days of rushing too and from and all the people, I'm ready to get home. I think 3-4 days is the perfect amount of time for me. If you look into the saved posts on my Instagram, you'll see that a majority of the posts feature pictures from restaurants I've been wanting to try. Majority of those restaurants are in New York so I always have a list of new places and old favorites I want to hit up when I get there. On Saturday, I knew we had to wake up early and head to Egg Shop. I love brunch so much and as much as I love a unique spin on old favorites, I like my breakfast simple but made well with good ingredients. That's exactly what I got at Egg Shop.

The wait was long as hell so the hostess told us to go next door to Cafe Integral and grab coffee while we waited and she would come get us if our table was ready. Honestly, the wait was super long but this made it a lot better. We went next door and grabbed a coffee (for him) and a hot chocolate (for me). Confession: I hate coffee but love hot chocolate. They also had the prettiest (and tastiest) donuts from Du's Donuts. I hadn't heard of their donuts before and had to try one when I saw that they sold mini ones. Not too big to spoil my appetite. By the time we finished and headed back to Egg Shop, we waited about 10 more minutes for a table.

I loved loved loved Egg Shop. I always get scared when a restaurant has a long wait and is hyped up online. I don't want to wait for an hour for crappy food. I made my own sandwich - bacon, egg and cheese on panini roll and a side of hashbrowns. I mean a good hashbrown can change your life. Pretty much any version of fried potatoes is wonderful. We also ordered the BLT benedict which was amazing. I give the restaurant an extra thumbs up for the bomb playlist (i.e. Lauryn Hill, Nas, Camp Lo, all my faves).

I wore some new pieces I got from ASOS. They were the perfect pieces for a pretty chilly day. I'm already excited to get more wear out of these pieces. Shop them here:
