WORK UNIFORM: DRESS FOR SUCCESS

LOFT pencil pants in Marisa fit, J.Crew silk pocket blouse (old; similar here), Shoemint pumps, Madewell Camden satchel bag, Urban Outfitters every day round sunglasses

When it comes to getting dressed for work, I have a few go-to combinations that I reach for when I'm getting dressed. The outfit I'm wearing is what I consider my work uniform. A simple silk blouse or button-up shirt and cropped trousers works every time. Some other favorites: a pencil skirt, shirt and long cardigan and a shift dress over a shirt with a tailored jacket. Growing up, I always watched my mother and grandmother get dressed for special occasions and always admired how confident they were when they looked their best. I have carried this throughout my life. It's so important to feel confident, especially at work. Nothing makes me feel more confident than a well-tailored pair of trousers or a well-fitted pencil skirt and silk blouse. Although it's a very simple combination, it makes me feel capable of taking on any task. I believe all women should feel confident in what they wear. That's why I am donating 10% of my sales from my blog on December 8th and December 9th to Dress for Success, and ShopStyle will match 100% of my contribution!
