TAILORED
J.Crew No.2 Pencil Skirt is Double Serge Wool, J.Crew Covered-Button Crepe Blouse (sold out), Shoemint Garaleh Pumps (old, similar here), Aldo clutch, BaubleBar 360 pearl studs (love these too!)
One of the biggest lessons I've learned when it comes to fashion is the importance of a good tailor. In the past, if I found something at a great price but it was not the right fit, I would be disappointed and not make the purchase. Now, since finding a tailor that I love, I am no longer as limited. For example, I have been wanting to purchase a great burgundy wool pencil skirt for a long time. Unfortunately they sell out so fast I rarely can get my hands on my size. By the time I try to purchase one, the only ones available are either too small or too big. When I found this skirt it was only available in a size that was way too large. I decided to make the purchase online since it wasn't final sale. I took it over to my tailor and had her take in the waist and to take it in on the sides all the way down to the hem. I love the end result and I plan to throw it on for work today with a bright pink sweater.
Do you have a go-to tailor?
